RAYE Says She and Michael B. Jordan Are Just Friends Who Like Roller Coasters

RAYE says she is not dating Michael B. Jordan.

She addressed the rumours on the red carpet at the 2026 MTV VMAs on Sept. 27. Speaking to Extra, she said: "No, we're just friends who like roller coasters," according to Billboard.

The talk started after photographs showed the pair on a day out at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. The outing put the 28-year-old British singer and the 39-year-old actor on the same roller coasters. RAYE discussed the connection in several red carpet interviews at the VMAs.

TMZ first reported the trip on Aug. 9, describing the two as cosying up on a ride. Friends were with them at the park in Los Angeles, People reported at the time. The visit took place on Aug. 7.

That is a short timeline. The photos circulated in early August. The VMAs interviews followed in late September, about seven weeks later.

RAYE also confirmed she and Jordan are working together. She did not give details about the project. She said she is "technically not allowed to talk about" it because she "might get in trouble."

TMZ reported on Aug. 11 that RAYE is working on the soundtrack for a film project Jordan is involved with. RAYE did not confirm that description on the red carpet. She kept her answer brief.

For fans, this leaves two separate threads. The dating rumours are denied. The work link is real, but still under wraps.
