Shipment returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

Shipment is back. Activision has confirmed the small multiplayer map will return in Modern Warfare 4.
Fans spotted it first. They picked out the map in the newly released PC trailer, and the official Call of Duty account followed with a dedicated post reading “Shipment returns in Modern Warfare 4” on September 29, 2026, according to GameSpot. That post settled it after hours of freeze-frames and replays.
If you have never dropped into it, Shipment is easy to grasp. It is a compact, square arena built for 6v6 matches, six players per side, where action starts fast and rarely slows. There is little cover and little room to hide. Matches end quickly.
Activision has not said when it arrives. The publisher has not confirmed whether Shipment will be one of the 12 6v6 maps available at launch or arrive in a later season. A season, in Call of Duty terms, is a batch of new maps, modes and unlocks added after release.
Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC. It is the first Call of Duty release on a Nintendo platform since 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts. It is also the first since Ghosts to skip PS4 and Xbox One entirely, a clean break with the last console generation.
The Shipment news landed alongside a full PC reveal. Call of Duty published its official Modern Warfare 4 PC trailer with a tech update on September 29, 2026, according to Call of Duty. Beenox is leading PC development in partnership with Infinity Ward. The PC release arrives via Xbox on PC, Battle.net and Steam.
The PC version is pitched as highly adjustable. It offers more than 800 customisation options across graphics, gameplay, input devices and interface. It supports AMD FSR Redstone, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, Intel XeSS 3 and Filmic SMAA T2X, upscaling tools that lift frame rates by rendering at lower resolution and then sharpening the image. Enhanced FOV, a wider field of view that lets you see more at the edges of the screen, is available exclusively on PC.
Campaign Early Access has also been confirmed for Modern Warfare 4. That lets buyers play the story before the full launch. Timing and access details are still to come.
For fans, this means one thing. Expect close quarters, quick respawns and nowhere to sit still.
