Bradley Whitford Gets Walk of Fame Star Before Broadway Return

Bradley Whitford receives his Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Sept. 30, eight days before he opens on Broadway in a revival of A Few Good Men.
The ceremony is set for 11:30 a.m. PT at 6104 Hollywood Boulevard, where Whitford will be honoured with the 2,858th star, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Martin Sheen and Dulé Hill, his former The West Wing co-stars, are listed as speakers.
Whitford was selected in the Television category for the Walk of Fame Class of 2026. That class was announced by Eugenio Derbez and Richard Blade in July 2025. He is a three-time Emmy winner.
The timing gives the week a full-circle feel. Whitford was cast in the original 1989 Broadway production of A Few Good Men, where he played Lt. Ross and served as understudy for Lt. Kaffee, the actor who steps in if the lead cannot perform. It was there he met writer Aaron Sorkin. Sorkin was 26. Whitford was 30.
Being back in the play with Sorkin feels like “a time machine,” Whitford told Variety. He said The West Wing, the NBC political drama that made him widely known, never would have happened without that first meeting.
This time he plays a different part. Whitford takes on Col. Jessup in the new staging from Lincoln Center Theater, which opens Oct. 8. The courtroom drama was written by Sorkin.
He is joined in the revival by Tom Blyth and Krysta Rodriguez, whose casting was announced in September, per Broadway.com.
What makes this stand out is the distance travelled. Whitford started with this play as a supporting player and cover for the lead. Thirty-seven years later, he returns as Jessup while picking up a star for television.
