The Tribeca Festival has locked in 3-12 June 2027 for its 26th edition in New York City, with submissions now open and festival passes already on sale.

Organisers confirmed the dates and the open call for entries on 30 September, according to Deadline. The ten-day event will again spread across cinemas, theatres and live venues in Manhattan.

Filmmakers, podcasters, game makers and advertisers can now submit across seven programme strands. They are Features, Shorts and Music Videos, Tribeca TV, Tribeca Digital Creators, Tribeca Games, Tribeca Podcasts and Tribeca X, the festival's section for brand-supported storytelling.

One strand is on a different clock. Works in Progress, for films still in the edit, opens for submissions on 5 January.

Passes are also live. The line-up includes the returning Under 25 Pass, aimed at younger audiences, and a new Hudson Opening Weekend Pass built around the first days of the festival.

The announcement follows a large 25th anniversary edition. The 2026 festival staged more than 240 live events and logged a record 104 world premieres, meaning first-ever public screenings. It also welcomed 57 first-time feature filmmakers.

For audiences, this means early choice. Pass holders can plan around premieres, talks and live shows well before the full programme is announced in spring.

Tribeca was founded in 2001 by actor Robert De Niro, producer Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff to support the economic and cultural recovery of lower Manhattan after the 11 September attacks. It has since grown from a neighbourhood film event into a multi-discipline festival covering film, television, audio, games and online video.
