Hannah Cohen Covers Folsom for Music and Dreams 50th Reissue

Hannah Cohen has cut a version of Robert Lester Folsom's song "Music and Dreams" for the 50th anniversary reissue of his album of the same name, due out on 16 Oct via Anthology Recordings.
The reissue is titled Music and Dreams: 50th Anniversary Edition. It pairs a remastered version of the album, where old recordings are cleaned up for modern playback, with Folsom's original reel-to-reel demos and two new covers, according to Rolling Stone.
The second cover comes from Beach House. The duo recorded Folsom's song "April Suzanne" for the project.
Folsom recorded and self-released Music and Dreams in 1976. That means he put it out himself, without a record label behind the first pressing. Fifty years on, the anniversary set revisits that independent release with extra material from the archive.
The link with Cohen is recent. Folsom played the Newport Folk Festival in summer 2025 and met Cohen there. That meeting led to her recording the title track for the anniversary edition.
For listeners who still buy physical music, the set will come as a 2xLP, a vinyl album spread across two records, and on CD. Folsom confirmed both formats in a post on his Facebook page. The CD is listed with 22 tracks, and the track information includes 2026 remasters of "Music and Dreams" and "Ginger".
What makes this stand out is the chain of time. A self-released record from 1976 gets a full reissue in 2026. A festival meeting in 2025 brings in a new voice. Two covers sit beside old tapes.
