Rauw Alejandro lands Hot Latin Songs top 10 with GTA VI track "Macacoa 2000"
Rauw Alejandro has a new top 10 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, the weekly ranking for Latin music in the United States. "Macacoa 2000" opens at No. 10 on the chart dated Oct. 3.
The song earned 2 million official U.S. streams in the tracking week ending Sept. 24, according to Luminate, the data company that supplies Billboard's streaming counts. Billboard reported the debut on Sept. 30.
It is his 17th top 10 on Hot Latin Songs. Only three of those have been solo records. His last top 10 before this one was "Khe?" with Romeo Santos, which peaked at No. 3.
His career high remains "Todo De Ti." That song peaked at No. 2 in September 2021. His other recent solo entry, "Tu Con El," started and peaked at No. 6 in November 2024.
"Macacoa 2000" arrives early. It is one of two songs from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album to enter Hot Latin Songs this week. Rockstar Games lists the track on the album's official music page. The company describes the project as a 34-song set due Nov. 19.
The second debut is "Sexy Magic" by Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crecy. It starts at No. 16 on Hot Latin Songs after 1.5 million official U.S. streams. It also opens at No. 8 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and No. 2 on Hot Latin Pop Songs.
That entry is a first. Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress and Etienne de Crecy had not appeared on Hot Latin Songs before, according to Billboard. Fred again.. was already on the chart.
He is climbing elsewhere too. His collaboration with LATIN MAFIA, "Te Estoy Correteando," moves to a new peak of No. 4 on the current Hot Latin Songs chart.
What makes this stand out is the timing. The album is still seven weeks from release. The streams are already counting as chart entries.
