Aubrey O'Day says Sean "Diddy" Combs will leave prison "a worse criminal" after a new investigation into his time behind bars. She posted the response on 30 September to an NBC News report on Combs' sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. Billboard

O'Day quote-tweeted journalist Chloe Melas, who shared her own investigation on X. O'Day wrote: "Thank you, Chloe for doing this investigation. People should understand the difference between rehabilitation and a sh–ty vacation. The system is broken — this man will come back a worse criminal."

NBC News based its report on interviews with four men who spent time in the same unit as Combs. Those men alleged that other inmates cooked and cleaned for him, handled his laundry and gave him Chinese-style massages. The outlet also said it had reviewed photos and videos that allegedly show Combs using a contraband mobile phone.

The report further claimed Combs had access to alcohol and other prohibited items. NBC News reported he has spent thousands of dollars a month to sustain his lifestyle inside the low-security facility in southern New Jersey. Federal prosecutors have previously said Fort Dix has struggled with contraband including knives, cannabis and mobile phones. NBC News

A spokesperson for Combs said continued focus on his prison life was excessive. The spokesperson said he continues to serve his sentence while awaiting the outcome of his appeal. A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on his specific conditions, while acknowledging that contraband remains an ongoing challenge across federal facilities.

Combs arrived at Fort Dix in October 2025. He is serving a 50-month sentence after conviction on two counts of transporting people across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

O'Day came to public attention as a member of Danity Kane, the group formed through Combs' reality series Making the Band. She has criticised the outcome of his criminal case and said it failed to deliver justice for survivors. She confirmed last year that she would not testify at his federal trial.
