Kid Rock Announces Christian Album 'Halfway to Jesus' Out Oct. 17

Kid Rock will release a 17-track Christian album titled Halfway to Jesus on Oct. 17. He announced the project on Oct. 1, with Detroit rapper Eminem named among the guests, according to Billboard.

The first single, the song chosen to introduce the album, is titled "James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)". His official website says a new video and single are available now, with links to watch, stream or buy across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal and Deezer.

The album includes "7 Sins", listed as a collaboration with Eminem. The title track lists Gary LeVox and Jimmie Allen as featured performers, meaning they appear as guests on that song.

The title is stylised as "Halfway 2 Jesus", according to the Detroit News. In a post dated Oct. 2, Kid Rock said the official video for "JAMES 1:17 (Jesus Is King)" would premiere that evening, as stated in the Facebook post.

Not every listener was convinced at first. Some Eminem fans questioned whether the announced appearance was authentic, according to Complex.

For fans, this means a short wait. The announcement came on Oct. 1. The full 17 tracks are due on Oct. 17.
