The Yellow Affair has boarded worldwide sales on Capsized, the feature written and directed by Lindsey Ryan. The deal was detailed by Deadline on 2 October 2026.

Sales has a plain meaning here. The company will offer the film to distributors, territory by territory. Those distributors then decide whether to buy it for cinemas, television or streaming in their own market.

The cast is led by Rhys Ifans, Lily Rabe, Sarah Catherine Hook and Griffin Gluck. Four names. One ensemble. They are the principal cast carried on the sales announcement, according to the same report.

Ryan holds both key credits. She wrote the script. She directed the shoot. On a focused feature that single authorship covers story, dialogue and the day-to-day decisions on set.

Capsized started its public life in summer 2026 at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. It screened in competition there. Competition means selection in a small group in the running for festival prizes, and it usually brings added press attention.

The next stop is the Hamptons International Film Festival. The film is set for its United States premiere there. A US premiere is simply the first screening in that country. It is separate from the world premiere, which has already taken place in Scotland.

Behind the camera, the producers are Samantha Scolarici of Lost at Sea Films, Paul Mezey of Present Company Productions and Dan Janvey. Producers build the film from the ground up, from raising finance to hiring crew to delivering the finished cut. Rebecca Wyzan, also of Present Company Productions, serves as co-producer.

The executive producers are Eliot Horowitz, Sara McFarlane, Ifans, Jason Reif and Andrew Goldman. That credit often reflects key finance or support at an early stage. Ifans holds two roles on the project, as a lead actor and as an executive producer.

For festival watchers, this is a familiar path. Edinburgh first. Hamptons next. A sales agent now in place. The Hamptons screening gives a US audience its first local look, while giving buyers a chance to see how the film plays in a room.
