Celtic edge Rangers 5-4 to win revived Tennent's Sixes

Celtic beat Rangers 5-4 in the final to win the revived Tennent's Sixes in Glasgow after a 33-year break.
The decider was played on 4 October at Braehead Arena, with Celtic taking the crown from Partick Thistle, who had held the title since 1993, according to BBC Sport.
Braehead is usually an ice hockey rink. It is the home of the Glasgow Clan. For this weekend, a six-a-side football pitch — six players per team on a small, fast indoor court — was laid straight over the ice.
Gary Hooper scored the winner for Celtic in a nine-goal final. It was the first time Rangers had been behind in the entire tournament.
That made it revenge. On Saturday, 3 October, Rangers had thrashed Celtic 7-1 in the group-stage derby. Martyn Waghorn scored five of the seven that night.
The weekend kept the old quirks that made the Sixes famous in the 1980s and 1990s. A penalty meant a player starting at the halfway line with 10 seconds to run in and score. Tackles still counted. Frazer Wright was sent off for a challenge on Morgaro Gomis during St Johnstone's game against Dundee United.
All 12 Scottish Premiership clubs were invited for the comeback, staged as the SPFL Tennent's Sixes Weekend across four sessions on 3 and 4 October. Rangers arrived in form after a 7-3 win over St Mirren earlier in the weekend.
What makes this stand out is the noise it still makes. Short games, quick goals, old rivals close enough to hear every shout. One weekend on ice, and Glasgow remembered why it loved it.
