Sandy Scott wins again to soar to 87th and seal PGA Tour card

Sandy Scott has won two tournaments in seven days to jump 40 places in the world rankings and lock up a place on the PGA Tour next year.
The 28-year-old Scot beat American William Sides in a play-off — extra holes to settle a tie — to win the Compliance Solutions Championship in Oklahoma. That victory followed his win at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship in Ohio the week before, and lifted him from 127th to 87th in the men's world rankings, according to BBC.
The Oklahoma win came at The Patriot Golf Club in Owasso. The PGA Tour confirmed the play-off victory on 4 October, describing it as his second straight Korn Ferry Tour title in its Round 4 wrap-up, reported by PGA Tour.
The run started in Ohio. Scott closed with a 6-under-par 65 on the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University to win the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship. He had arrived that week ranked 13th on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List.
That list is what matters most. The Korn Ferry Tour is the main feeder tour to the PGA Tour in the United States, with the leading points scorers earning promotion. Scott is now top of the standings and has secured PGA Tour membership for 2027.
Scotland's leading man remains Robert MacIntyre, ranked 19th in the world. Further down the list, Michael Stewart climbed 497 places to 483rd after finishing joint fourth at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in St Andrews.
What makes this stand out is the speed of it. Two wins in a row means holding your nerve with a target on your back. Scott did it on two different courses, in two different states, with a play-off squeezed in for good measure.
