High School Musical revival releases new trailer ahead of Wembley opening

East High is back in London. Disney's High School Musical revival has released a new trailer a week before it opens at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.
The production is presented by Hope Mill Theatre and Chris Harper Productions. It is billed as the first UK non-replica staging of the musical, meaning a new version built from scratch rather than a copy of a previous production. It premiered at the Lowry in Salford before heading south, according to WhatsOnStage.
The Wembley run starts on 12 October 2026. It continues until 3 January 2027, covering Christmas and New Year. The national press night, the evening when national critics are invited to review, is set for 20 October.
Tobias Turley stars as Troy Bolton. Leonor Correia plays Gabriella Montez opposite him. Caitlin Tipping plays Sharpay Evans, with Luke Bayer as her brother Ryan Evans.
KayCee Stroh plays Ms Darbus. Harry Judd plays Coach Bolton in London. Jason Donovan played the role for the Salford premiere. The whistle changes hands.
The new footage puts Sharpay and Ryan centre stage. It features Tipping and Bayer performing in costume as the Evans siblings, according to Official London Theatre. Production imagery for the show is credited to photographer Matt Crockett.
Designs for both the Salford and Wembley stagings were revealed in a sneak peek in July. The trailer gives the fullest look yet at how those designs work in the room, with bright school corridors, the gym and the stage lights of the winter musical.
For fans, this means a familiar story in new clothes. Same school. New staging. The Wildcats arrive in Wembley next week.
