62nd ACM Awards set for May 16, 2027 in Las Vegas, back on Prime Video
The Academy of Country Music will bring its awards show back to Las Vegas next year. The 62nd ACM Awards are set for Sunday, May 16, 2027, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The date and venue were confirmed by the Academy and reported by Billboard. No host has been named yet.
Las Vegas is becoming a habit again. The 2027 show will be the second year in a row at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Before that, the ceremony spent three years at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, from 2023 to 2025.
Viewers will not need cable to watch. The show will stream live on Prime Video. It will be the sixth consecutive year on the service, and the second consecutive year on a Sunday night.
Tickets go on sale in stages. That matters for fans who need to organise travel early.
American Express Platinum Card and Centurion members get the first window. Their presale runs from 10 a.m. PT on Oct. 6 through 11:59 p.m. PT on Oct. 8. ACM A-List subscribers, who are signed up to the Academy's fan list, can buy from 10 a.m. PT on Oct. 7. General public tickets will be sold through AXS.com.
For fans, this means a clear run-up. Card presale first, fan-list presale overlapping it, then the open sale. Prices and the full on-sale time for the public have not been detailed yet.
The announcement follows the 61st ACM Awards, held in May this year. Cody Johnson was named Entertainer of the Year, the show's top prize, while Ella Langley earned the most wins of the night, according to the Academy. That edition was hosted by Shania Twain, her first time leading the ceremony.
