Bradford Bulls sign Grand Final winner Lachlan Walmsley

Bradford Bulls have signed Lachlan Walmsley on a two-year deal. The 28-year-old winger joins from Wakefield Trinity after helping them win a first Super League Grand Final. BBC Sport
Walmsley was born in Australia and plays out wide, where the job is to finish attacking moves with pace. He did exactly that for Wakefield in the championship decider at Old Trafford. Trinity beat Warrington 23-10 to lift the trophy for the first time.
That win was the headline of a three-year stay. Walmsley signed for Wakefield in 2024 and played across the past three seasons, according to the club. Wakefield Trinity
His early-season form showed why Bradford wanted him. In Round 2 he scored two tries and ran for 136 metres, earning a place in the Super League Team of the Week. Super League Run metres are simply the distance a player carries the ball forward, a basic measure of punch in rugby league.
Bradford are coached by Kurt Haggerty. Walmsley is the second Wakefield back to agree a switch to the Bulls, after centre Cameron Scott agreed in June to move for 2027. BBC Sport
For fans, this means proven finishing power on the edge. League is a game of six tackles to make ground before the ball changes hands, so a winger who can turn half a chance into points is gold. Walmsley has just done it on the biggest stage.
