Malcolm Todd with Don Toliver, and Alex Warren with Megan Moroney, will share conversation and joint performance at Rolling Stone's Musicians on Musicians 2026 in Los Angeles on Oct. 23.

The event will take place at the United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles, according to Rolling Stone. It pairs artists for on-stage interviews followed by collaborative performances, with each pairing talking and then playing together.

The first pairing brings together Todd and Toliver. The second brings together Warren and Moroney. Both conversations will form the core of the evening's programme.

James Austin Johnson of Saturday Night Live will host and moderate the evening. Johnson returns in the role after hosting the 2025 edition in New York.

Tickets go on sale on Oct. 8. General sale begins at 10 a.m. PT, Rolling Stone said.

The 2026 edition is presented by Sonesta International Hotels. Lexus and Miller High Life are listed as sponsors.

The format is straightforward. Two musicians interview each other about writing, recording and touring, then perform. For people following from home, that means the night works as talk and live music in equal parts.

The series launched in 2019. It began in print and online as paired interviews before expanding into a ticketed live event.

After a New York staging in 2025, the 2026 edition moves to the West Coast. Last year's edition took place on Oct. 23, 2025, at the Beacon Theatre in New York, according to venue listings. That bill featured Jack Antonoff, Hayley Williams, Role Model and María Zardoya, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Johnson hosted that show.

Rolling Stone has also organised a Musicians on Musicians event with The Apollo, according to Apollo listings. That edition included Busta Rhymes, GloRilla, Brittany Howard and Doechii.

For fans, this means two very different conversations in one night. One pairs Todd's songwriting with Toliver's melodic rap. The other brings together Warren's pop and Moroney's country storytelling, with live collaboration built into the format.
