Skydance names games, products and operations chiefs

Skydance President Andy Gordon has locked in the executives who will run the parts of the company outside television and film.
The appointments were set out in an internal memo viewed by Deadline. They cover games, consumer products, people and culture, and global operations. They follow an initial round of key appointments under Chairman and CEO David Ellison and Co-CEO Ynon Kreiz.
Tony Driscoll was named President, Games & Experiences. He will lead Skydance’s global games and experiences portfolio. He keeps his existing remit across corporate strategy and development.
Josh Silverman was named President, Global Products & Publishing. He will lead consumer products and publishing. That covers the merchandise, licensing and book publishing activity that sits alongside the screen business.
Two long-serving operations leaders stay in post. Jim Sterner continues as Chief People Officer, leading people and culture. Jose Turkienicz continues as President, Global Operations, leading global business services, real estate, procurement and studio operations.
Jeff Silberman takes on an expanded role. The executive vice-president of corporate strategy will serve as Gordon’s chief of staff. He will continue to lead corporate strategy and the Integration Management Office, the team coordinating how different parts of the organisation are brought together.
The wider reshuffle was put in place ahead of the expected closure of the Paramount-WBD deal, according to Screen Daily. Ellison is Chairman and CEO of Skydance, with Ynon Kreiz as Co-CEO, as reported by Variety. Gordon, an early adviser to Skydance Media, works closely with both men in his role as President.
For viewers, this matters because these are the teams behind the screen. Games, products, staffing and studio operations decide how shows and films get made, supported and sold on. The latest names fill in the organisation chart beyond the TV and film chiefs named earlier.
