Regina Hall joins Aniston and Dinklage in Universal holiday film 'Naughty'

Regina Hall is set to join Jennifer Aniston and Peter Dinklage in Universal Pictures' holiday film Naughty, due in cinemas on 5 November 2027, according to Deadline.
The casting puts the three leads in place. The date holds the film for the first full weekend of the holiday season.
Aniston plays Mallory, a mother fighting for custody of her son from her gaslighting ex, while Dinklage plays Santa Claus, Deadline reported. Mallory believes finding Santa is her best hope of winning that custody fight, according to Yahoo Entertainment. That is the setup.
Hall is reported to play a friend who joins Mallory on a trip to the North Pole, Deadline reported. The detail is still described as reported, not confirmed character detail. It gives the story its road-trip shape.
Olivia Wilde will direct the Universal film, from a script by Jimmy Warden, Deadline reported. The project began as a spec script, a script written without a studio commission in place. LuckyChap will produce alongside Wilde and Warden, with Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell overseeing for Universal.
The film is being made as a holiday release, as noted by The Playlist. No footage or further casting has been disclosed. Production dates have not been announced.
For fans, this means a familiar festive hunt with a twist. A custody battle leads to the North Pole. A friend comes along for the ride.
