Five teenagers chosen from more than 1,300 auditions will play their first arena dates this autumn, including the entire Jingle Ball tour, the annual holiday concert run. The group is Just Your Type, known as JYT, a five-member American pop band made up of Recker Eans, 16, Toby Green, 16, Caden Adamonis, 17, Bryan Chan, 18, and Tyler George, 16, Billboard reported.

The band is signed to Wexler Records/Republic Records, the label partnership that releases its music. It was assembled by songwriter-producer Freddy Wexler, whose credits include work with Billy Joel, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

The search was wide. Wexler auditioned more than 1,300 young performers to find the starting line-up. Caden Adamonis and Recker Eans were first spotted on social media, and the rest of the group joined through personal links.

The chain was simple. Adamonis brought in George, George brought in Green, and Eans brought in Chan to complete the five. By July 2025 the members had relocated to Los Angeles for an intensive year of training in singing, dance and performance.

Their listening is broad. The group names Backstreet Boys, One Direction and BTS alongside Prince to blink-182 as influences. That mix covers 1990s pop, 2010s arena pop, K-pop, funk and guitar-led pop-punk, without signalling a fixed sound for JYT itself.

Their first show together was small. It came in April at the SIX Compound yearly dance showcase in Los Angeles, a studio event rather than a public concert. The group then spent the summer on the road in the north-eastern United States.

The summer run was unusual. JYT toured summer camps across New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, playing for more than 15,000 campers in total. The dates included Trail's End Camp in Pennsylvania and Timber Lake Camp in New York.

Recorded music followed quickly. The debut single, the R&B-pop song “What U Want,” arrived in December 2025. Four additional singles have since been released, all on Wexler Records/Republic Records.

For fans, this means a short road from first performance to arena stage. Camp audiences in the low thousands come first, then Jingle Ball rooms that hold many times that number.

Away from music, the group has also been named as the launch partner for Gap’s Fashiontainment platform, Retail TouchPoints reported. Gap is the San Francisco-based clothing company, AP News noted. The platform pairs the retailer’s clothing with music acts.
