Prince Harry Teaches MasterClass on Grief After Diana's Death

Prince Harry is teaching an online course on grief built around the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
The class is called “Redefining Grief: Building Resilience Through Loss.” It was filmed in California, where Harry now lives, and is taught with Dr. Mary-Frances O’Connor, a grief neuroscientist and psychologist, according to Town & Country.
Harry is the younger son of King Charles III. Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, when Harry was 12. He has spoken often about how that loss shaped his adult life.
This time the format is instructional. MasterClass, the subscription video platform that hosts celebrity-taught courses, lists the course as “Redefining Grief” on its site. The company describes it as research-backed practices to help people navigate loss with resilience, according to MasterClass.
The course runs five lessons. They are titled “Reframe Grief,” “Break the Old Patterns,” “Upgrade Your System,” “Rebuild Who You’re Becoming,” and “Turn Pain Into Purpose.”
Harry also shares personal detail in the lessons. He says he notices signs he connects to his late mother, Town & Country reported on Oct. 8, 2026. He discusses experiencing panic attacks and describes a 10-day rule he and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, use for time spent apart, according to People.
The launch includes support for two bereavement charities. MasterClass is supporting Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a British charity for bereaved military children and young people with which Harry has worked, and Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp in the United States.
What makes this stand out is the pairing. One instructor brings lived experience with public loss. The other brings the science of how grief works in the brain.
