Chicago Sets 30th Anniversary Gala With Returning Stars

Broadway's revival of Chicago will celebrate 30 years with a one-night-only gala performance on November 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
The celebration will be held at the Ambassador Theatre, the revival's Broadway home, producers announced, as reported by Deadline.
The guest list spans generations of the show. Former cast members Bebe Neuwirth, James Naughton, Robyn Hurder, Whitney Leavitt, Ariana Madix and Alex Newell will appear alongside current Roxie Hart Reece Weaver.
Neuwirth and Naughton were in the original cast of the Broadway revival. Their return puts the show's beginning and its present on the same stage.
The gala is a benefit performance. Money raised will support the Entertainment Community Fund's programs serving dancers.
Chicago is the longest-running show on Broadway and the longest-running American musical in history. It has stayed open by recasting its leads again and again while keeping its staging intact.
Tickets for the anniversary night go on sale October 15 at 10 a.m. ET, according to Playbill. That sale is separate from tickets for the show's regular performances.
Weaver plays Roxie Hart. She is known to television viewers from America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and her engagement has been extended through November 1.
The gala follows an earlier anniversary moment this season. Pink performed "All That Jazz" as part of a Chicago celebration at the 2026 Tony Awards in June, as reported by Playbill.
For fans, this means a rare overlap. Past stars and the current company will share one night in one theater.
