Musk says Grok Bot will use Suno's AI music models

Elon Musk says Grok Bot will use music models from AI music platform Suno.
He named Suno alongside Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 and image generator Midjourney in a post on X on October 7, as reported by Music Business Worldwide. Musk said SpaceX would use the best backend model for any given task. A backend model is the engine that does the work behind an app.
Grok Bot is an AI agent app developed by SpaceXAI. An AI agent app is software that can answer questions and carry out tasks for the user. It launched in beta in August.
The post listed the systems but gave little detail beyond that. It did not say which tasks Grok Bot would send to Suno. No date was given for the change.
Musk added in a follow-up post that simple questions would go to small, fast models and complex questions to large models. A member of the Grok Bot team then said on X that Opus 5.5 was rolling out and would power all Bots on the app.
How SpaceXAI would connect to Suno is also unclear. Musk did not say how SpaceX would access Suno's technology. Suno does not currently offer an official public API, the standard software connection that lets one service plug into another's system.
SpaceXAI has not said when music tasks will be routed to Suno. That leaves two open questions for users: what the app will ask Suno to do, and when.
What makes this stand out is the mix-and-match plan. Instead of relying on one system, Grok Bot would pull in outside tools for text, images and now music.
