Cardi B out of BZR WKND Jamaica headline set
Cardi B will not perform at BZR WKND Jamaica on October 18. Her representative told Billboard on October 8 that she is no longer playing the festival, Billboard reported.
She had been slated to deliver the headlining set that evening. That is the closing, top-billed slot on the night. The performance was planned for Kingston's National Stadium.
The confirmation came 10 days before the scheduled show. It was short and direct. Travellers often watch that final stretch closely.
BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 is listed for October 16 to 19. The organisers bill it as four days and four events. That schedule covers the full weekend run, with Cardi B's date sitting near the end of it.
Her appearance had carried its own billing. An earlier Billboard report, published on August 14, described it as her Caribbean stadium headlining debut, Billboard reported. That was the description used when the date was announced.
For fans, this means a change to one night of a four-night programme. People who had planned around October 18 now face a revised line-up. The festival's dates remain as listed.
The latest update replaces the earlier announcement as the authoritative position. The August report sets out what was planned. The October 8 statement from her representative sets out what will now happen. That kind of on-the-record confirmation from an artist's team is the standard way a withdrawal is established. It takes precedence over earlier listings and posters.
Festival line-ups can shift late in the day. A headliner carries extra weight because that set usually closes the night and drives ticket decisions. When that slot changes, the effect is felt across the evening.
What makes this stand out is the scale of the venue involved. A stadium date in Kingston puts a large crowd in one room. It also puts transport, staff and vendors around that one show.
For now, the confirmed facts are narrow. Cardi B is out of the October 18 date. The stadium show will not go ahead as a Cardi B headline set. The rest of the October 16 to 19 run is still listed as planned.
