Noah Kahan has waited 10 years for this moment. A Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards nomination. And a chance to get slimed.

The singer-songwriter is nominated for favorite male breakout artist/group at the 2026 Kids' Choice Awards, Billboard reported. He reacted on X with four words: "Holy sh– I finally did it."

He followed it with a longer post. After 10 years of tireless effort, he wrote, he had been nominated for a Nick Kids' Choice Award. Then came the punchline: "I'm finally gonna get slimed."

He wants the slime. Kahan joked that he could already feel it dripping down his scalp and into his eyes and nostrils. He added that it tastes like freedom.

The 2026 Kids' Choice Awards is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14. The show is Nickelodeon's annual children's awards ceremony, decided by fan votes.

Kahan faces five other nominees in his category. They are BigXthaPlug, Don Toliver, Role Model, Sombr and Temper City.

The nomination arrives after a long climb up the US charts. His album Stick Season debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, the main US albums chart, and later peaked at No. 2 in 2024 following expanded editions. His single "The Great Divide" peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main US singles chart, his highest-charting hit to date.

The wider nominations list includes some very familiar names. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are both nominees at the 2026 ceremony, Billboard reported.

What makes this stand out is the label. Breakout artist, after a decade of work. Kahan leaned into the joke rather than arguing with it. For fans, this means a different kind of awards night. No black tie. Just green slime, if he gets his wish.
