Live Nation takes majority stake in Chile's Bizarro

Live Nation Entertainment has taken a majority stake in Bizarro, the Chilean live entertainment company.
The agreement was announced on Friday, Oct. 9, extending a partnership between the global concerts business and the team behind many of Chile's large-scale shows, Billboard reported.
Bizarro has operated in Chile for more than 18 years. Its concert promotion business, the work of booking artists, hiring venues and putting shows on sale, was founded by Alfredo Alonso in 2008.
Since 2018, the company has also promoted and produced the Viña del Mar Festival, Chile's long-running televised music festival held each year in the coastal city of Viña del Mar.
Alonso will stay on to lead Bizarro's creative and strategic direction after the investment. Live Nation said its longtime Chilean partner DG Medios will continue to play a central role in international live music events in Chile.
The Chile deal follows a similar agreement in Peru. Live Nation announced its partnership with Bizarro Peru on Jan. 22, 2026, a tie-up presented as a way to bring more major tours and live experiences to Peruvian fans, Live Nation said at the time.
In Peru, Bizarro Peru and Live Nation's Lima-based team now operate as a unified local organisation. Alonso serves as president of Live Nation Peru, a role he keeps alongside his work in Chile.
The two Bizarro deals sit inside a wider Latin America portfolio. That includes OCESA in Mexico, Páramo Presenta in Colombia and Dale Play Live in Argentina.
For fans, this means the same local promoters booking the rooms and festivals, now with backing from the world's largest live entertainment company. The test will be simple. More tours stopping in Santiago, Lima and beyond, and who gets to carry those tickets home.
