Keegan Allen says he was robbed at gunpoint in West Hollywood
Pretty Little Liars actor Keegan Allen says he was attacked and robbed of his watch on Thursday in West Hollywood. He set out his account in a video posted to his Instagram page. That video also included security footage that appeared to capture the alleged robbery, as reported by Variety. He spoke in the clip about being attacked over the watch.
Allen said the incident happened outside the Laurel Supply grocery store. He said two young men confronted him over his watch, at gunpoint and knifepoint. In plain terms, he said one man held a gun on him while the other held a knife.
He said the men hit him in the head and pointed the weapons at him before taking off. He said the attackers threatened to kill him during the confrontation over the watch. The men were also described as masked, as noted by Lehigh Valley Live.
The security footage appeared to show Allen in the store parking lot with the two men beside him. It appeared to show him putting items into his truck while they stood close by. A later section then appeared to show one man striking Allen in the head multiple times with his gun.
KTLA described that part of the clip as three strikes to the head with a handgun. The blows are visible in the footage Allen included in his post. Allen was hospitalised after the robbery. No additional medical detail was included beyond the fact of the hospital stay.
For viewers meeting him through this news, Allen is best known as Toby Cavanaugh on Pretty Little Liars. He played that role from 2010 to 2017 across the show's run. He then played Liam Walker in Walker from 2021 to 2024. Together, those three credits span television work from 2010 into this year.
He most recently starred in the ABC police drama The Rookie earlier this year. That appearance followed two extended runs on scripted television. All of those credits were listed in the reporting around the robbery.
What has been reported so far rests on Allen's video and the footage inside it. His post is the source for the location, the weapons described and the account of his injuries. The footage he shared is the source for the description of the blows.
