Brandon Rogers ordered a heckler out of the Helluva Boss panel at New York Comic Con after the fan repeatedly shouted over the cast.

The clash broke out during Thursday's session, part of the 2026 convention running 8 to 11 October at the Javits Center. Rogers, who wrote and developed the animated series, intervened from the stage after the interruption kept cutting across the speakers, according to Variety.

"You need to shut the fuck up right now," Rogers told the heckler. He stayed in his seat at first. Then the shouting continued.

Rogers warned the fan again. "I'm going to jump over this fence and end you. It's not cute," he said.

He stood up. Rogers left his seat, walked toward the audience and told the person to leave. "You need to get the fuck out right now, or I will make you leave," he said.

He then called for convention staff to step in. "Is anyone working this fucking event? Can someone please get this motherfucker the hell out of here?" Rogers said.

The panel included cast members Vivian Nichole Nixon, Erica Lindbeck, Bryce Pinkham and Harvey Guillén, alongside creator Vivienne Medrano, voice actor Richard Steven Horvitz and moderator Perri Nemiroff. It is a standard Comic Con format, meaning creators and cast take questions from a large hall audience.

For fans in the room, the mood shifted quickly from excitement to tension. Other panelists paused while Rogers dealt with the disturbance.

ReedPop, the company that runs New York Comic Con, said it was aware of a repeated disturbance from a fan during Thursday's Helluva Boss panel. It apologised to the panelists, moderator and fans for the disruption.

The organiser said the incident was addressed after the panel but action was not taken swiftly enough. Steps are being taken to handle future incidents more quickly, it said.

New York Comic Con is an annual pop culture convention covering television, film, comics and games. The 2026 edition is listed across four days at the Javits Center, according to New York Comic Con.
