Arsenal set out to close the gap on Manchester City on Saturday, 10 October, as the Premier League returned with six fixtures.

The champions hosted fifth-placed Leeds United at the Emirates in the early kick-off at 12:30pm BST, according to The Guardian. Leeds arrived just below them in the table, the league standings. A win in north London would lift Leeds above Arsenal.

That is a sharp turn from last season. Leeds lost 5-0 on their previous visit to the Emirates. Arsenal also beat them 4-0 in a league meeting reported in February. Daniel Farke, the Leeds manager, faced the task of rewriting that story.

Arsenal started this season as defending champions. They launched their title defence at home to promoted Coventry, according to Reuters. It is a changed league. Nine clubs began the campaign with new managers. Two familiar faces, Rodri and Mohamed Salah, departed before a ball was kicked.

The lunchtime game went out on TNT Sports. The league lists Arsenal v Leeds at 12:30 on Saturday, 10 October as a TNT broadcast, according to the Premier League.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Ipswich Town hosted Fulham at Portman Road. The day closed with Manchester United against Tottenham Hotspur at 5:30pm. Spurs arrived rock-bottom, last in the table, with United expected to test them in front of a live Sky Sports audience.

What makes this stand out is the mix. A title chase at the top. A surprise contender in Leeds. A heavyweight tie to end the night with Spurs fighting to climb off the foot of the table.

There is more to come. Crystal Palace against Nottingham Forest follows on Sunday, 11 October. The full 2026/27 season runs to 380 fixtures, and the official fixtures page will carry scores and results as they land.
