Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 at Emirates Stadium on Saturday 10 October.

James Justin fired Leeds ahead. Riccardo Calafiori levelled. Then substitute Bruno Guimaraes grabbed the winner. BBC Sport

Leeds struck first through Justin, turned in from Gabriel Gudmundsson's assist, the final pass before the shot. Arsenal answered when Ben White's header set up Calafiori to equalise. The winner came from the bench. Declan Rice supplied the pass and Guimaraes finished it.

It was a 12.30pm kick-off, the first game of the Premier League weekend. Premier League

Leeds arrived in fine shape. They were unbeaten in fifth place after five games and chasing the club's first six-game unbeaten start to a top-flight season. Arsenal

History was against them. Arsenal had won nine of the past 10 league meetings, including the last seven by an aggregate score of 24-5.

Mikel Arteta made three changes to his starting side. David Raya started in goal, behind Ben White, Ezri Konsa, Gabriel Magalhaes and Calafiori. Rice, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Martin Odegaard formed the midfield, with Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz in attack.

There was context in those names. Madueke started on the left wing in place of the injured Christos Tzolis. Havertz started after a hamstring scare on international duty. Lewis-Skelly returned to the line-up after previously being dropped for Guimaraes.

The bench decided it. On 63 minutes, Arteta sent on Viktor Gyokeres for Havertz, Guimaraes for Lewis-Skelly and Jurrien Timber for White. Piero Hincapie followed for Calafiori in the 82nd minute, with Merino on for Odegaard in the 90th.

What makes this stand out is the timing of the changes. Three fresh legs at once. One of them scored the winner.

BBC Sport's ratings told that story. Guimaraes got an 8 as the game's most influential replacement. Calafiori, Rice and Timber each got a 7. Most of Arsenal's starters, including Raya, Saka, Odegaard, Havertz and Gyokeres, were marked at 6, while Merino got a 5 after having no time to impact the game.

Leeds had strong performers in defeat. Justin, Tarik Muharemovic, Gudmundsson and Ao Tanaka all earned 7s. James Trafford, Jayden Bogle, Nico Elvedi and Ethan Ampadu were rated at 6.

For fans, this means something simple. Leeds showed they could lead at the Emirates. Arsenal showed they could find another way to win.
