Sombr brought out Lindsey Buckingham for a surprise duet during his Los Angeles concert on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The guest spot came at the Kia Forum, where Buckingham walked onstage to a loud response from the crowd, according to Rolling Stone. It was the talking point of the night. One song, two generations, no advance warning.

Together, the pair performed "Go Your Own Way," the Fleetwood Mac single long associated with Buckingham's guitar work and vocals. Sombr and Buckingham shared vocal duties on the song. The performance stayed close to the original arrangement, with guitar at the centre.

Buckingham was not the only guest. Jesse Rutherford, singer with the Neighbourhood, also joined Sombr onstage at the same Kia Forum show for a performance of "Sweater Weather," the band's breakout hit. That pairing brought a different kind of recognition from the audience, with many singing along from the first line.

The Los Angeles date was held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood. The venue lists Sombr's date on its official events calendar under the heading 'You Are The Reason Tour.' It also maintains a dedicated event page for the singer and ran a 'SOMBR Sweepstakes' promotion around the appearance.

What makes this stand out is the mix. A new pop headliner, a classic rock guitarist and an alternative-band frontman all appeared on one stage in one night. For fans in the room, it meant three separate musical worlds colliding without any announcement beforehand.
