Prime Video Takes Diana Tapes Series for UK and Ireland

Prime Video has bought the UK and Ireland rights to Diana Unheard, a three-part documentary built around secret audio recordings made by Princess Diana.
The streamer will launch the series in those territories as Diana: Her Secret Confessions, Deadline reported exclusively on 12 October. The Diana Unheard title stays in place for international sales.
The programme is produced by Love Monday TV. It draws on about five hours of audio from tapes Diana recorded in conversation with her friend James Colthurst in 1991.
Diana and Colthurst recorded the conversations in secret. The tapes later formed the basis of Andrew Morton's 1992 book Diana: Her True Story. Love Monday TV worked with Colthurst, Morton and publisher Michael O'Mara to access the full collection for the series. Short excerpts had been heard before in a 2017 National Geographic documentary about Diana.
In the audio, Diana discusses her marriage to her then husband, now King Charles III, and his now wife, now Queen Camilla. She also speaks about Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, as well as her sons and wider family, according to the report.
Distribution, meaning the sale of the show territory by territory outside the UK and Ireland, is handled by Cineflix Rights.
For viewers, this means the full tapes get a proper series outing for the first time. Three parts. Diana in her own words.
