Lauren Price defends unified titles against Kotaskova in Cardiff

Lauren Price will put her unified welterweight world titles on the line against Michaela Kotaskova on Friday, 20 November.
Price holds the IBF, WBA and WBC belts, which makes her a unified champion — a fighter who holds more than one of the four major world titles in the same division. The fight was confirmed by BBC Sport.
It is familiar ground for the champion. The bout takes place at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff, the same venue where Price beat Stephanie Pineiro Aquino in April. It will be shown live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Price, 32, from Bargoed, is a former Olympic champion. She won gold at Tokyo 2020, then became Wales’ first female world champion in May 2024 when she beat former undisputed champion Jessica McCaskill for the WBA title, according to BOXXER. She added the IBF and WBC crowns with victory over Natasha Jonas at London’s Royal Albert Hall in March 2025.
Three belts are on the line. Kotaskova brings pedigree of her own.
The 34-year-old Czech is the current WBF titleholder. She has won 14 of her 15 professional fights, with her only defeat coming on points against Chantelle Cameron for the vacant WBO super-welterweight title in April 2026. She is unbeaten at welterweight, her natural division.
The undercard has a strong domestic flavour. Rhys Edwards faces Lee McGregor for the WBA continental title, while Willie Gilheaney defends his WBO European welterweight title against Alberto Ignacio Palmetta, an Argentine 2016 Olympian and former world-ranked contender. Unbeaten Cardiff middleweight Kyran Jones meets Liverpool’s Sean Arkwright.
For fans, this means a homecoming with real stakes and no paywall. BOXXER is staging the 20 November card, with the main event free-to-air on the BBC.
