Yujiro Hanma from Baki joins Tekken 8 in winter

Yujiro Hanma from Baki is coming to Tekken 8.

Bandai Namco slipped the reveal into the final seconds of a new Tekken 8 trailer. The trailer lists Yujiro for release in the winter season. GameSpot

Most of that trailer belongs to someone else. It focuses on Roger the kangaroo, the boxing marsupial returning to the series. Then it cuts away for a short tease of Yujiro.

That tease is brief. It still gave fans a first look at his in-game render, the 3D model used for the fighter on screen. IGN

Bandai Namco says Yujiro will get his own trailer at the Tekken World Tour Finals on 17 January. That show is the end-of-season event for Tekken 8 competition. Expect the full moves and look to appear there.

For context, Tekken 8 is a one-on-one fighting game. Extra fighters are sold after launch as downloadable content, known as DLC. A Character Pass bundles several of those fighters together.

Yujiro sits inside the Season 3 Character Pass. The pass lists Bob as scheduled for Jul-Sep 2026 and Roger Jr. as scheduled for Oct-Dec 2026. It lists Yujiro as a playable character scheduled for Jan-Mar 2027, alongside the SUBSEA LOCKDOWN battle stage in the same window. Tekken.com

The same pass includes the Aurora Outfit Pack with 44 designs. Those are alternate looks for the roster. It also includes 5-day Early Access for future DLC, which means pass holders can play new extras five days before general sale.

Bandai Namco says all Season 3 Pass content will be fully available by 31 March 2027. That date covers characters, stage and extras.

What makes this stand out is the fit. Baki follows underground martial arts, and Yujiro is written as its unbeatable peak. Power is his whole identity.

No moves list, no price and no exact release date have been announced for Yujiro yet. The winter window is the guide for now.
