WWE has moved beyond the ring with “Agent of Shadows,” its first micro-drama made with ReelShort.

The companies have put the project out on ReelShort and social media, according to Variety. The full series is set to premiere on Oct. 23 on ReelShort, WWE said when it released the full trailer.

The story is built for speed. Secret agent Adam Hawke learns he has a daughter he never knew about. He must then protect her from a criminal organisation.

It is a micro-drama, meaning a scripted series told in very short episodes made for phones. ReelShort specialises in that format. Episodes run vertically, full-screen, and are designed to be watched in quick bursts.

Chase Mattson plays Hawke. Drew McIntyre plays Roscoe, Hawke’s right-hand man and tech expert. McIntyre is best known to WWE audiences as a wrestler. Here he acts as the backup in the chair, feeding Hawke information and support.

The wider cast mixes screen actors with WWE names. Mattson appears alongside Marc Herrmann and Katherine Gibson, Variety reported. The WWE contingent includes Jacob Fatu, Joe Hendry, Nikkita Lyons, Michael Hayes and Booker T. Yahoo also reported Royce Keys co-leading alongside McIntyre.

That blend is deliberate. The plan pairs WWE wrestlers with vertical stars, meaning performers already known for phone-first short series. It is the model WWE and ReelShort set out when they announced their partnership in July.

The project sits with WWE’s scripted and unscripted development group, led by Ben Houser. “Agent of Shadows” is described as an original, live-action microdrama. It is the first title to come from the July deal.

For viewers, this means a short hop. No cable slot. No weekly wait is detailed so far. Watch on the ReelShort app or follow the clips on social.
