Karol G's "BbY WOW" rebounds for fifth week atop Billboard's global charts

Karol G, Judeline and rusowsky are back at No. 1 on both of Billboard's global song charts, with "BbY WOW" rebounding for a fifth week on top. The song reclaimed the lead on the charts dated 17 October.
The Billboard Global 200 ranks songs by worldwide streams and sales, while Global Excl. U.S. counts activity outside the United States. On the Global 200, "BbY WOW" rose 3-1 after 46.2 million streams and 1,000 sold globally in the tracking week of 2-8 October, according to Billboard. On Global Excl. U.S., it moved 2-1, led by 34.4 million streams recorded outside the U.S.
It did not stay down long. The rebound pushes Taylor Swift's "Patient Zero" to No. 2 on the Global 200 in its second week.
The week's other new entry belongs to Drake and Don Toliver. Their collaboration "Solar Eclipse" opens at No. 8 on the Global 200 with 24.9 million streams worldwide.
The debut gives Drake his 46th top 10 on the Global 200, the most for any male act and second overall behind Taylor Swift's 47. For Don Toliver, "Solar Eclipse" is his second top 10 on the chart.
The run caps a steady climb. "BbY WOW" first reached No. 1 on both global lists in early September, and then became Karol G's first song to spend more than one week on top of those charts. During its third week at No. 1, Billboard reported 53.3 million global streams, up 1% week over week, and 2,000 sold globally, up 22%.
In the U.S., the song also gave Karol G her 11th No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs, Billboard's ranking for Latin music, according to Billboard. With that move, she became the first act in nearly two years to replace herself at No. 1 on that chart.
What makes this stand out is the shape of the race. A Spanish-language collaboration by three acts now sits above tracks by Swift, Drake and Don Toliver in the same global week.
Billboard will post the full charts dated 17 October on Billboard.com on 13 October.
