Half-blooded twin vampires are on the road to Mumbai in Half, the vampire action film that premiered in the Midnight Madness strand at TIFF.

Directed by Samjad, it stars Ranjith Sajeev as Ethan and Aiswarya Raj as Ivy, the two twins at its centre, according to Deadline. The film runs 96 minutes and was produced in 2026, according to Sitges Film Festival. Midnight Madness, for newcomers, is TIFF's late-night section for horror, action and cult titles.

Ethan and Ivy are half-blooded, as reported by Deadline. Sunlight is their weakness. Their bodies regenerate after sundown, according to Deadline. Ivy is deaf and non-verbal.

The pair take a road trip to Pai Nagar in Mumbai. On the way they wage war with desert highway hijackers. Ivy and Ethan are carrying out a plan for revenge, a drive that leads to high-speed pursuits, according to Sitges.

The film has been called a Vampire-Western by the New Indian Express, which describes it as a mix of Western, actioner, road movie and horror film. IndieWire has described it as an Indian vampire Western. The earlier trade description was simpler: a vampire action film.

Music is by Midhun Mukundan, who composed the score, according to Deadline.

What makes this stand out in a crowded vampire shelf is the pairing itself. One twin speaks. The other does not. The story moves with them across highways and desert roads toward a city address, built around chases, fights and the limits set by daylight.
