Evanescence, Offspring and Billy Corgan set for 2027 ALTer EGO at Kia Forum
Evanescence, The Offspring and Billy Corgan will play the 2027 iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. The annual alternative and rock concert was confirmed by the broadcaster ahead of the new year, with tickets due on sale later in October, Billboard reported.
Death Cab for Cutie, Slightly Stoopid, Modest Mouse, Young the Giant, The Warning and Temper City are also on the bill. The show will be hosted by Woody of ALT 98.7's The Woody Show, which carried the lineup announcement.
The bill also includes Mumford and Sons, Cage The Elephant and Beck, which ALT 98.7 named ahead of the full announcement. That gives the night 12 acts in total, spanning guitar rock, alt-pop and reggae-rock.
For fans, this means solo and full-band sets will share the same stage in one night. Corgan will perform solo, rather than with Smashing Pumpkins, in what is billed as a special solo appearance.
Temper City arrive with a recent chart milestone. The band earned its first Billboard No. 1 when "Self Aware" topped Alternative Airplay, the chart that tracks plays on US alternative radio.
People who cannot get to Inglewood can still hear the show. It will be carried across iHeartRadio's alternative and rock stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app. The event is presented by Capital One.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 23, at noon PT through Ticketmaster. Eligible Capital One cardholders can use a presale from Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m. PT through Thursday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. PT. A limited sale for ALT 98.7 VIP members runs from Thursday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. PT through Friday, Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. PT.
