Fox will never sell Fox Creator Studios, Fox Entertainment chief executive Rob Wade has said.

Wade made the pledge on a Deadline-hosted panel at MIPCOM, the international television market in Cannes, as reported by Deadline on 13 October 2026. He was blunt. "We're not here to flip a house."

By that he meant Fox is not building the unit to sell it on. Wade said the organisation is in it for the long term and will never sell the business.

Fox Creator Studios is a digital-first division, meaning it develops programmes for YouTube and social platforms first rather than for broadcast television. Fox unveiled it at the start of 2026 with a slate of partnerships including a food roster headed by Gordon Ramsay. The unit is led by Billy Parks, who joined Fox from The Chernin Group.

Wade positioned the main goal as "creating a path to IP creation on the internet." IP means intellectual property, the characters, formats and brands that a studio can own and reuse across series, licensing and sales.

Deals struck so far include Ramsay, comedian Tom Segura and creator Josh Richards. Richards makes Read the Room, a sketch comedy made for YouTube.

Wade appeared on the panel with Parks, Prentiss Fraser, Richards and Chris Sawtelle. Fraser runs Fox Entertainment Global, the distribution arm that sells Fox programmes to buyers around the world.

What makes this stand out is the promise to hold. Studios often launch digital units and later fold or sell them. Wade said Fox plans to keep this one.
