Sam Levinson will make his next television shows for Amazon MGM Studios. The Euphoria creator has struck an overall deal, meaning the studio funds him to develop new series ideas exclusively for its slate, according to Deadline which reported the agreement on 13 October 2026. It closes a chapter in which all of his television work aired at HBO. Short. Sharp. A new home.

Under the pact, Levinson will develop and produce series for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. Prime Video is the streaming service where audiences will find them. Amazon MGM Studios is the studio that develops and oversees them. In other words, he will dream up shows and help run them, from first pitch to final edit.

The agreement also covers executive producing services from Ashley Levinson, his wife and partner in Tiny Goat Productions. An executive producer guides a series creatively and practically, hiring key staff and keeping story and production on track. It places her work inside the same deal.

Most viewers will know Levinson as the creator of Euphoria, which launched in 2019. The series starred Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney and Colman Domingo. Its timetable was unusual. Season three premiered four years after season two, and the show then ended after that third season.

Levinson previously held his television deal at HBO, where that Euphoria run played out. At Amazon MGM Studios, global television is led by Peter Friedlander as Head of Global Television. His team decides what moves from idea to order, and when it is scheduled for viewers.

An overall deal does not itself order a series. It sets up the workshop. Writers are hired, scripts are written, and the studio then decides whether to commission a pilot or give a straight-to-series order, meaning no pilot is shot first. If a show is ordered, it can employ a crew of hundreds and keep a writers' room working for months.

What makes this stand out is the change of slot. A creator tied to one network for his entire television career will now build for a global streaming catalogue. For audiences, the practical effect is simple. The next Levinson story will arrive on Prime Video rather than HBO.
