Karol G, Judeline and rusowsky take 'BbY WOW' to Latin Airplay No. 1
“BbY WOW,” performed by Karol G with Judeline and rusowsky, has risen 2-1 to No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart dated Oct. 17. Latin Airplay ranks the most-played songs on Latin radio in the United States. Billboard reported the new No. 1 on Oct. 13.
It earned 7.9 million audience impressions in the tracking week ending Oct. 8, according to Luminate. Audience impressions estimate how many times radio listeners heard the song. That total is up 13% week on week.
The move gives Karol G her 22nd No. 1 on Latin Airplay. She ranks second among women for the most leaders on the chart. Shakira is ahead with 25. For Judeline and rusowsky, “BbY WOW” is their first No. 1 on the overall Latin Airplay chart.
The radio crown follows a long run on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart. “BbY WOW” has spent eight weeks at No. 1 there and counting. Hot Latin Songs blends US streaming, digital sales and radio airplay. The song first reached the top in August, when it jumped 5-1 to give Judeline and rusowsky their first Billboard No. 1.
Its global numbers remain strong. “BbY WOW” has added a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, rebounding 3-1. That week brought 46.2 million streams worldwide and 1,000 units sold. On Global Excl. U.S., which counts activity outside America, it rose 2-1 with 34.4 million streams. Billboard reported both global moves alongside the Latin Airplay result.
The fifth week at the global summit broke a tie. Bizarrap and Quevedo’s “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52” had shared the benchmark. “BbY WOW” now has the longest Global 200 domination by a song billed to a Spanish act since the chart launched in late 2020.
What makes this stand out is the spread across formats. Many songs lead on streaming or on radio. Fewer do both in the US while also holding the global top spot. That triple hold is what “BbY WOW” now has.
For listeners, the effect is straightforward. The same track sits at the top of US Latin radio, US Latin song consumption and worldwide streaming at once. It is a wide footprint from one release.
