Clayface holds world premiere in Hollywood ahead of October release

DC Studios gave Clayface its world premiere on October 13, 2026, at the Hollywood Legion Theater in Los Angeles, California, according to Deadline.
The red carpet was full. The event took place just ten days ahead of the film's listed theatrical release on October 23, 2026, according to Deadline.
Welsh actor Tom Rhys Harries leads the film in the title role, with Naomi Ackie and Max Minghella also starring, according to Deadline. Harries plays the shapeshifting Batman villain, a character who can change his appearance at will, as listed by Deadline.
The wider cast features Eddie Marsan, David Dencik, Nancy Carroll, Joshua James, Francesca Corney, Ruby Sear and Wil Coban. It is a large ensemble for a character-led story, and several of them walked the carpet in Hollywood.
Both Ackie and Harries attended the premiere, alongside director James Watkins, producer Lynn Harris, DC Studios co-chief Peter Safran and Dencik. The group posed together on the night, in photos published by Deadline.
Behind the camera, Watkins directed the film from a script by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. It was produced by Reeves, Lynn Harris, and DC Studios' James Gunn and Safran. The executive producers are Michael E. Uslan, Chantal Nong Vo, Lars P. Winther, Rafi Crohn and Paul Richie.
The film is described as a horror thriller, according to Deadline. That sets it apart from a straightforward superhero adventure, with more emphasis on fear and suspense. Safran had earlier debuted a teaser for the film at CinemaCon, the annual gathering for cinema owners, according to Deadline.
For fans, this means a short wait now. The premiere is done, the cast has been seen together, and the film reaches cinemas later in October.
