Nintendo has added three Game Boy Advance games to Nintendo Classics on Switch and Switch 2 on 14 October 2026.

The three titles, added on that date, are Metal Slug Advance, Monster Rancher Advance and Kururin Paradise. They are available now through the Game Boy Advance app, the separate download that hosts older handheld games, according to Video Games Chronicle.

One of them has waited 24 years. Kururin Paradise was previously officially released only in Japan. Its arrival on Nintendo Classics is its first official release in the West.

The original release dates tell the gap. Monster Rancher Advance was originally released in 2001, Kururin Paradise was originally released in 2002, and Metal Slug Advance was originally released in 2004, according to Nintendo World Report. For Western players, Kururin Paradise is therefore new despite its age.

To play them, subscribers need more than the base plan. Game Boy Advance games sit inside Nintendo Classics, the library of older games included with Switch Online, and require a Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription, the higher-priced tier of the service.

The addition brings the total number of Game Boy Advance games on Switch Online in the West to 32.

For fans, this means instant access alongside the rest of the catalogue. No separate purchase. No new hardware. Just update the app and the three games appear.
