Andrew Garfield arrived with his partner, American actor Monica Barbaro, for the VIP preview of Frieze London in Regent's Park in London on 14 October.

The preview is an invitation-only early viewing held before the public opening. Garfield and Barbaro were pictured among the first guests for Frieze London and Frieze Masters, according to The Art Newspaper. The list identified Barbaro as Garfield's partner.

They were not the only screen names in the tents. Russell Tovey, the British actor who also hosts an art podcast, attended the preview. So did Kate Bryan, the art director of Soho House, the London-based private members' club group.

The cameras noticed. So did the art world.

British artist Sue Webster was there. British-French-Algerian artist Zineb Sedira attended, fresh from making this year's Tate Britain Commission in London, the museum's annual invitation for an artist to respond to its collection space. Artists and partners Magda Stawarska and Lubaina Himid walked the preview together.

Curators and studio figures filled out the guest list. Fatoş Üstek, curator of Frieze Sculpture, the fair's outdoor display of large-scale works in the park, attended. Harry Weller, creative director of the Tracey Emin Studio in London, was also pictured. Collecting was represented by Justas Janauskas and Adomas Narkevičius, founders of the Upė Foundation.

What makes this stand out is the mix. Frieze-week previews bring film people, artists and the staff who run studios and outdoor programmes into the same aisles. For fans, this means the first photos set the tone for the week.

Frieze London and Frieze Masters run in The Regent's Park from 14 to 18 October 2026. The preview spans Wednesday 14 October and Thursday 15 October, with the 14 October VIP preview running from 11am to 7pm on an invitation-only basis, according to Frieze. Tickets for the fairs are only available online, Frieze says.
