Cher, Grace Jones and Jennie front Moncler’s Re/Icons campaign

Cher, Grace Jones and Jennie are the faces of Moncler’s new Re/Icons campaign.
Moncler, the Italian outerwear company, has cast the three together to present its archive-led line of padded jackets and winter clothing. The casting puts three big names in one place. Remo Ruffini, executive chairman of Moncler Group, told WWD exclusively about the line-up.
The house characterises Cher, Jennie and Jones as three cultural pioneers. The campaign was photographed and directed by Gabriel Moses. He handled both the still images and the moving image. That is unusual. One eye across everything.
Cher appears in two jackets. She wears the Re/Icons Himalaya jacket in white and the Re/Icons Verone jacket in black. A puffer, in plain terms, is a quilted jacket packed with down or a similar fill that holds warmth. Both of Cher’s choices play on volume and shine.
Grace Jones wears the Re/Icons Karakorum jacket in deep purple. Jennie wears the same Karakorum style in black. She also wears the Re/Icons Tibb gilet in caramel, a gilet being a sleeveless padded vest worn over other layers for extra warmth.
Re/Icons began in 2023 as a project that revisits past Moncler designs. An archive, in fashion terms, is a company’s store of old samples, patterns and references. This season the project has expanded into a comprehensive ready-to-wear collection for the first time, in other words clothes made in standard sizes and sold as finished pieces. The range updates four designs, the Karakorum, Verone, Tibb and Himalaya, and draws on archival styles from the 1950s through 2009, as reported by Yahoo Shopping.
The reference point is expedition dress. Moncler equipped the 1954 Italian expedition that achieved the first successful ascent of K2. For the 2026 collection the brand uses the line “Tied to our heritage” to link those early mountain kits to the new range, as seen in its post on TikTok.
The Re/Icons collection is available at select Moncler stores and on moncler.com, the company’s own website. In practice that means chosen shops and online, rather than every outlet.
What makes this stand out is the combination. Three performers with strong visual identities and long links to music and style appear in functional cold-weather kit. There are no elaborate sets to distract. The jackets do the talking.
