Linden House: A 10-Room Hideaway in the Cork Trees

Ten guest rooms, ten bathrooms and a yoga room with a view of the bay sit deep in the trees of County Cork.
Linden House, at Dromgarriff in Glengarriff, County Cork, Ireland, is a renovation of an existing guesthouse by Schemata Architects, Dezeen reported on October 15, 2026. The project was completed in July 2025 and opened to guests in August 2025, according to the architects, Schemata Architects.
The house stands in 39 hectares of woodland in Glengarriff. It is one of five guesthouses on the Dromgarriff site, where each house sits in its own alcove among the trees.
Dromgarriff lists three modern houses alongside its older buildings. They are two large houses, Silver Birch and Linden, and one small house, Holly. The houses across the property feature expansive windows and wood-burning fireplaces, Dromgarriff states.
Linden is the sociable one of the group. Its ten bedrooms are matched by ten bathrooms, and its Yoga/Community room holds up to 20 guests, Dromgarriff states. That shared room looks out towards the bay.
What makes this stand out for travellers is the balance between together and apart. Think tall trees and quiet. Then add a room big enough for twenty mats, and a fireplace to return to afterwards.
