Tesla has pushed its Roadster reveal from October 1, 2026 to October 15, 2026. InsideEVs October 15 is now the date that counts.

Elon Musk had said Tesla would unveil its long-delayed Roadster on October 1. Reuters That was reported on September 12, 2026. That October 1 date was the baseline, and the later delay moved it by two weeks.

On February 28, 2024, Musk said Tesla aimed to ship its Roadster electric sports car the following year. Reuters That was framed as an aim. A reveal is not a shipment.

Tesla keeps an official Roadster page at https://www.tesla.com/roadster. Tesla Tesla describes the Roadster as an all-electric sports car. Tesla Tesla describes it as the quickest vehicle in the world. Tesla

The broader context here is timing risk, not the car's specs. Fourteen days is little on an engineering calendar. The sequence matters more for investors. An aim to ship next year in 2024, then a 2026 unveiling date, then a two-week delay, leaves the program as intent, not delivery. Intent does not pay factory costs or turn cash tied up in parts into sales.

Looking at what this means for October 15, treat it as a news event, not a sales event. A reveal can clarify design goals, speed targets and build order. It cannot prove cost per car, legal road approval called homologation, parts readiness or delivery pace. Ad copy is not test data or audited factory guidance. Look for dates and volumes you can track each quarter.

In my view, listen for slipping language on the day. If Tesla restates intent without build order, time from reveal to production, and time to customer deliveries, the wait continues. Two weeks does not change the math. Repeated moves mean trust the next date less. Until shipment, the Roadster is a ticket on future cash, and the date just moved.
