Domingo, Goldblum, McAdams Join Safdie's Lizard Music

Colman Domingo, Jeff Goldblum, Rachel McAdams and David Krumholtz have joined the voice cast of Lizard Music.

Deadline reported the four castings as an exclusive on 15 October 2026. All four will voice characters in the film.

The project is a live-action/CGI hybrid from Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists. That means real actors filmed alongside characters created by computer. Benny Safdie wrote the script, based on the novel of the same name by Daniel Pinkwater.

Dwayne Johnson is the previously announced star and producer. The wider cast also includes Theo Leber, Alicia Silverstone, Tim Heidecker, Arya Parvathi, Regina Hall and Andrew Dice Clay.

The producing team spans several companies. Scott Stuber and Nick Nesbitt are producing for United Artists, Safdie for Out for the Count Productions, Johnson for Seven Bucks Productions, and David Koplan for Magnetic Fields Entertainment.

The film has been with the studio for a year. United Artists and Stuber won the rights to the Johnson and Safdie project, as Variety reported in October 2025.

For fans, this means the shape of the ensemble is getting clearer. Johnson anchors the cast in person. Domingo, Goldblum, McAdams and Krumholtz now fill out the vocal side of that mixed live-action and animated world.
