Singaporean director Boo Junfeng's thriller "Trinity" and Indonesian director Sidharta Tata's "Slaughterground" head a slate of 11 features picked to seek partners at the JAFF Market in Yogyakarta.

The two titles were named among the selections for JAFF Future Project, the market's pitching platform for films looking for finance, co-producers and sales support, according to Variety.

Nine of the 11 projects are in development, meaning early-stage films still assembling script, cast and budget. Two are works in progress, meaning films already shot and now looking for post-production money or release deals.

"Trinity", under its original title "Tsai Kuang Chih Chien", is one of those two works in progress. The thriller, produced by Raymond Phathanavirangoon, had already been picked for the genre section of the Tokyo Gap-Financing Market 2026, according to Screen Daily. It was also among projects by Boo, Koji Fukada and Jakrawal Nilthamrong that shared $100,000 in grants from Busan's Asian Cinema Fund.

The other work in progress is "Slaughterground", original title "Hujan Kematian". It is produced by Ajish Dibyo, Pramudya Andika, Annisa Adjam and Sunny Gho for Aftersun Creative.

The wider list reaches across the region. Australia takes one slot through a partnership with the Adelaide Film Festival and mylab. That entry is Rosie Lourde's "Wreck and Ruin", produced by Lourde with Katharine McPhee for In Cahoots Creations. Indonesia's Yudhatama Fajar Nugroho brings the only animation in the selection, "Pupus: The Orchid of Merapi".

Alongside the film projects, JAFF Market has chosen 10 properties for JAFF IP Connection, a programme that offers books, comics and other stories for adaptation into films and series. Six of the 10 are Indonesian. Two Korean properties join through a tie-up with the Asian Contents & Film Market.

What makes this stand out for audiences is the timing. These are films at the point where money meets idea, long before trailers or release dates. A slot at a market can bring the partner that gets a shoot funded or a rough cut finished.

The third edition of JAFF Market, powered by Amar Bank, will run Nov. 28-30 at the Jogja Expo Center in Yogyakarta. It sits inside the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival, scheduled Nov. 28-Dec. 5.
