Wes Gordon, Roksanda Ilincic and Jane Hudis honoured at FGI Night of Stars

Wes Gordon, Roksanda Ilincic and Jane Hertzmark Hudis led the honours at Fashion Group International's 42nd Night of Stars gala in New York.
Gordon, the global creative director of Carolina Herrera, the fashion house, received the Fashion Visionary Award. Ilincic, founder and creative director of Roksanda, her own fashion label, received the Fashion Star Award. Hudis, executive vice president and chief brand officer of The Estée Lauder Cos., the beauty group, received the Beauty Award, according to reporting by WWD.
The black-tie event took place at the Rainbow Room in New York City on 14 October. The theme was The Modernists. The evening was staged as a red-carpet gala, with dinner and an awards presentation.
Each of the three top honours was presented by a named guest. Gordon's award was presented by Paige Paul. Ilincic's award was presented by Jonathan Saunders, creative director of Kate Spade New York, the American fashion label. Hudis's award was presented by Aerin Lauder.
Other honours on the night recognised work beyond design. Lucien Pagès received the Media Leadership Award. Stylist Micaela Erlanger received the Style Award, given in honour of Edith Head. Henry Muñoz was named as the Changemaker Award honouree, according to listings by Fashion Group International.
The gala was co-chaired by Alyce Panico and Claudia Poccia. It is organised by Fashion Group International, the New York-based membership body for leaders across fashion, beauty, lifestyle and retail.
What makes this stand out is the mix. The Night of Stars puts designers, a beauty executive, a stylist, a communications leader and a changemaker on one stage. For a general audience, it is a useful snapshot of who holds influence behind the clothes, the campaigns and the red-carpet looks.
