Lauren Alaina and Chase Matthew have reached No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart with "All My Exes." The duet tops the chart dated Oct. 24, Billboard confirmed on Oct. 16.

The song jumped four places to get there. It drew 31 million audience impressions, the estimated number of radio listeners reached, between Oct. 9 and 15. That total was up 28% on the previous week, according to Luminate, the data organisation that tracks airplay for the chart.

Country Airplay ranks songs by plays on country radio stations across the United States. A rise of that size late in a run points to more stations adding the song and playing it more often. That is a fast finish.

For Alaina, it is a fourth chart leader. For Matthew, it is a second. Both singers have waited for this one to climb through a busy autumn schedule of new releases.

Alaina last led the list with "One Beer" in 2020, alongside HARDY and Devin Dawson. Matthew last led with "Darlin'," which spent three weeks at No. 1 last November. Those earlier runs gave each singer a base of radio support. This duet builds on it together.

"All My Exes" was written by Alaina with Jimmy Gutch, Ben Johnson and Whitney Phillips. It was released via Mercury/Big Loud. Billboard later published a Makin' Tracks feature on how the pair wrote and recorded the song, tracing it from the writing room to the vocal booth.

The climb took several weeks. The duet was bulleted at No. 14 on the chart dated Aug. 29, which means it was still gaining plays. By early September it had moved to No. 10 with 17 million audience impressions, up 3% that week, Billboard reported at the time. That was Alaina's fourth top 10 on the chart.

What makes this stand out is how often team-ups are winning at radio this year. "All My Exes" is the third collaborative No. 1 on Country Airplay in 2026, among 20 new chart leaders so far. Since the chart launched in January 1990, collaborations have accounted for 8% of its 998 No. 1s.
