Cardi B will receive Billboard Canada's first-ever Global Woman of the Year award on 24 November in Toronto.

She will accept the honour in person at Rebel during Billboard Canada Women in Music 2026, Billboard confirmed. The waterfront venue will host the full ceremony that night.

The 2026 show is the third edition of Billboard Canada Women in Music. The programme celebrates women working across music in Canada, on stage and behind the scenes. This year's new global prize widens that lens. It goes to an artist from outside Canada whose music has found a large audience with Canadian listeners.

That fits Cardi B's chart history in the country. She has placed 46 songs on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, the weekly ranking of the most popular singles in Canada. Eight of those songs reached the top 10. The count covers every song on which she is credited as an artist.

Put simply, 46 entries means 46 separate songs that made the national singles chart. A top 10 hit means a song that climbed into the highest ten places on that chart in a given week. Both figures are counted by Billboard's Canadian chart.

Two other honours were confirmed for the same night. Melissa Bubb-Clarke will accept Executive of the Year. Kristy Fletcher will receive the Impact Award.

Executive prizes recognise leadership on the business side of music, from developing artists to running teams and companies. Impact prizes recognise wider influence, which can include mentoring, advocacy and work that opens doors for others. Both awards sit alongside the performance honours on the programme.

For fans, this means one night to watch. The draw is straightforward. Acceptance speeches often spell out how music got made, who helped make it and what comes next. A first-ever award adds an extra edge, because there is no earlier winner to measure it against.

Rebel will bring the three recipients into the same room. Cardi B's appearance puts a global guest at the centre of the evening. Bubb-Clarke and Fletcher put the focus on the Canadian industry itself. Together, the three awards cover performance, business and influence, and set the headline for the November ceremony.
